The Spell List

The spell list is arranged alphabetically by arche. Each arche is broken down into ten or more levels with the spells for that level listed with brief descriptions. Each arche is listed with its dji ideogram, the Talanthi character representing the form of magic.

Remember, if the name of the spell is marked with an asterisk (*), it is a lost spell and must be found during adventuring. All spells marked with a degree () are organizational spells can only be learned and cast by organizational members.

The Arche of Fire

Fire Touch / Fire 1
Upon cast this spell, the caster's hand is bathed in dancing fire and inflicts a Critical hit with a touch.

Light / Fire 1
This spell creates a glowing area of light, approximately equal to torchlight, to illuminate a small area.

Flame Dart / Fire 2
With a quick gesture, this spell conjures a fist-sized bolt of racing flame to damage a target.

Fire Charm / Fire 2
After incanting the words to this spell, the caster touches a single weapon granting it a pale aura of magical Fire.

Flash and Burn* / Fire 3
With this unique spell, the caster conjures a shower of flashing, and dazzling sparks to surround, bewilder, and burn a single target.

Protection from Fire / Fire 3
Once cast, this spell protects the caster from the first magical attack or effect of the Arche of Fire directed against him or her.

Fire Swarm / Fire 4
This spell functions as per the second level Fire spell Flame Dart except it allows the caster to throw three orange spellballs.

Greater Light / Fire 4
This spell functions as per the first level Fire spell Light except the Light can be cast upon a object making it transferable.

Hands of Fire* / Fire 4
Upon invocation, both the caster's hands burst into wreathing fire. The caster may make multiple touches each inflicting a Critical Hit.

Mass Fire Charm / Fire 4
This spell functions as per the second level Fire spell Fire Charm except that it can be bestowed upon up to three weapons.

Bestow Protection from Fire / Fire 5
This spell functions as per the third level Fire spell Protection from Fire except that it can be bestowed upon a creature or item.

Fiery Weapon* / Fire 5
Fiery Weapon fashions a magical weapon out of elemental fire.

Fire Trap* / Fire 5
This spell allows the caster to magically protect an item with fire.

Fireball / Fire 6
With this spell, the caster summons a glowing sphere of burning flame that explodes engulfing all caught within its area of effect in magical fire.

Wall of Fire / Fire 6
With a grand gesture, this spell conjures a roaring solid wall of Fire fifteen feet wide, ten feet high, and a foot thick.

Aura of Fire* / Fire 7
Upon casting this spell, a bright field of sparks and swirls of fire coalesces about the caster outlining his or her form in radiant heat.

Greater Protection from Fire / Fire 7
Once cast, this spell protects the caster from the first five magical attacks or effects of the Arche of Fire directed against him or her.

Fire Storm / Fire 8
This spell functions as per the sixth level Fire spell Fireball except it allows the caster to throw three spellballs.

Banish Fire* / Fire 9
Banish Fire allows the caster to immediately dispel or disintegrate a creature or effect of the Arche of Fire.

Bestow Greater Protection from Fire* / Fire 9
This spell functions as per the seventh level Fire spell Greater Protection from Fire except that it can be bestowed upon a creature or item.

Disintegrate / Fire 10
A creature or item struck by Disintegrate is instantly devoured by fire and reduced to nothing but ash.

Elemental Immunity to Fire / Fire 10
Invoking this powerful spell, the mage calls upon the powers of Fire to grant him or her total protection versus all the spells in the Arche of Fire as well as any Fire- or heat-based attacks.

Embody Fire* / Fire 10
This powerful incantation draws upon the powers of Fire and embodies the essence of heat, light, and burning appetite in one living creature.
